Name: Marion Mayes Age: 20 Gender: Male Occupation: Professional moocher Face Claim: Scotland from Axis Powers Hetalia
Appearance:
Has a decent wardrobe of upscale fashion, though it's often wrinkled from sleeping in it overnight. Never seen in public without a cigarette.
Skills:
Skateboarding - Marion is a hopeless adrenaline junkie, and this is the most convenient outlet for his impulses. His YouTube account is filled with years' worth of videos of him trying risky stunts and more often than not ending up with his face in the asphalt. He's actually fairly skilled, but he's always managed to attempt feats that are either beyond his ability or simply impossible. He also dabbles in other extreme sports.
Brawling - A very scrappy fighter, Marion clearly has no formal training, but he makes up for it with tenacity and experience. He's fond of picking fights, particularly with larger, tougher-looking opponents, and he's willing to back off if it's clear that the other person isn't interested in playing.
Fandom - Marion is a big fan of action movies. He devotes a significant fraction of his time and effort to watching examples of the genre, from the blockbusters down to the B movies. This is a skill without many practical applications, but objectively speaking, his knowledge of the field is exceptional.
Socializing - Although Martion isn't the smartest guy, he has a good, instinctive interpersonal sense. He can generally figure out what he needs to say in order to raise lowered spirits... or to touch a nerve and piss someone off, depending on the situation.
Personality:
Marion is the kind of person that you either really like or really despise, without much middle ground. He's not self-centered, but he is both headstrong and carefree, which often amount to the same thing. He doesn't like to see people being unhappy, but whether that will motivate him to be helpful or just to remove himself from the situation is a toss up.
When he does decide to help someone, he does so wholeheartedly, without concern for his own comfort or safety. He's a patient listener, but he's outgoing when he needs to be, recognizing when his friends are in a depressed slump and need someone to show them a good time and shake them out of it. He's the first one to call when you need a designated driver at your party, someone to help you move out, or an escort to accompany you to the bad part of town.
On the other hand, he has a deep nihilistic streak that manifests itself in bouts of laziness. His closest thing to a long-term job was a brief stint as an intern at one of the local movie studios. In lieu of having his own independent lifestyle, he prefers to bounce between members of his extended family across the city, crashing on their couches and eating their food for weeks at a time. He's not an inconsiderate houseguest, and he's able to convince himself that as long as his hosts tolerate him, they must be benefiting more from his presence than he costs to support.
Marion's worldview is ultimately a very shortsighted one. He has no educational or career ambitions whatsoever. With his dangerous behavior, from his risky skateboarding feats to his chain smoking, he's almost daring the future to do its worst. But by defying the future so overtly, he's better able to live entirely in the present, and he's happy there.
